ITINERARY (subject to changes)
Monday 15th March 6:30 PM — Welcome drinks on the rooftop terrace. Meet your hosts and fellow travellers as the sun sets over Marrakech.
7:30 PM — Dinner in the courtyard (included). A delicious Moroccan dinner beneath the lantern lights as we introduce the journey ahead.
Tuesday 16th March After breakfast, we begin with our smartphone photography workshop.
In a relaxed courtyard session, discuss the approach to using a smartphone for photography.and adjusting the phones camera settings.
Then we head into the medina to practice in real life, capturing street scenes, colours and textures.
In the afternoon we visit the iconic “Jardin Majorelle” and the YSL Museum.
Evening: Dinner at a beautiful local restaurant.
Wednesday 17th March Today we rise before dawn for one of the most unforgettable experiences of the retreat as we travel toward Agafay Desert for our hot air balloon ride.
Floating silently above the desert as the sun rises is pure magic, and an incredible opportunity to capture breathtaking images.
Breakfast is served at the camp before we return to Marrakech around midday. The afternoon is free for exploring, relaxing or visiting a traditional hammam (not included, booking is essential).
In the evening we will stroll through the souks before dinner at a favourite hidden restaurant.
Thursday 18th March Today we venture beyond Marrakech into the spectacular Ourika Valley. Just 1.5 hours from the city, the valley offers a completely different photographic landscape. Expect flowing rivers and waterfalls, mountain villages, dramatic valley light and peaceful nature scenes. It’s the perfect place to practice composition, movement and landscape photography. (please note the climb to the waterfalls is quite steep and a reasonable level of fitness is required).
In the evening we return to the Riad for a special group dinner together in Riad Mur Akush (included)
Friday 19th March Your final full day is beautifully unhurried. Spend the day however you like:
Shopping in the souks
Editing photos
Enjoying a hammam spa (not included, booking is essential).
Photographing hidden corners of the medina
In the evening we head to the legendary square Jemaa el-Fnaa where we embark on a guided Marrakech food tour where we will taste traditional dishes, learn about Moroccan cuisine and capture the lively night atmosphere.

Saturday 20th March Farewell Breakfast
One last breakfast together at the riad before airport transfers and goodbyes.
