ITINERARY (subject to changes)

Saturday 14 November Midday, meet at hotel. After settling in, welcome and introductions, discuss the approach to using a smartphone for photography.and adjusting the phones camera settings. Evening reception and dinner.

Sunday 15th November Day three of the Chhath Puja festival (Offering to the setting sun). After breakfast, drive to Patan, one of the UNESCO heritage sites in the Kathrnandu Valley, explore Durbar square, visit museum. craft centres.

Monday 16th November Day four of the Chhath Puia (Offering to the rising sun). After lunch, drive to the scenic hill station of Nagarkot, situated east of Kathmandu at approximately 7000 ft. The panoramic views of the mountains there including Everest in the northeast can be spectacular. Overnight stay in Club Himalaya.

Tuesday 17th November Early morning wakeup for the sunrise. After breakfast. drive to Kathmandu via the ancient temple of Changu Narayan Temple. Aftemoon free. Evening is a visit to the Great Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath for a night shoot. Said to be the largest in the world, this stupa is one of the most important outside Tibet

Wednesday 18th November Morning visit to Syambhunath Temple (Monkey Temple). Afternoon tea tasting at the Sagarmatha Tea House. Evening dinner with music and dance.

Thursday 19th November Explore the delights of the cultural city of Baktaphur, another UNESCO heritage site situated about l2km east of Kathmandu. With its many tempies including the Nyatapola. This five roofed pagoda temple, the highest in Nepal is surrounded by an abundance of Newari culture, architecture, art and wood carvings. Return to the Hotel Tibet

Friday 20th November Drive to Pullahari, one of the most respected Buddhist monasteries in Nepal surrounded by tranquil and beautiful gardens, architecture and landscape. Not open to tourist generally we are privileged to be given an insight to life in the monastery, the art, and culminating with a puja at the end of the visit. (Lunch included)

Saturday 21st November Eariy rise for 6am. mountain flight. Rest of the day free. Early evening visit to the Royal Cremation Ghats at Pashupatinath, the revered Hindu Temple on the banks of the sacred Bagmati river. This deeply spiritual event pays homage to Lord Shiva which attracts hundreds of devotees and tourists every evening.

Sunday 22nd November Morning visit to Kathmandu Dunbari Sq. PM fee for shopping. Tibetan cultural dinner

Monday 23rd November Morning debriefing.
