John has been passionate about photography since picking up his first film camera while studying it at ‘O’ level.
Today, portraits of people and animals make up his day job, while wildlife, architecture, landscapes and still life remain creative pursuits he enjoys in his own time.
While he’s comfortable using professional camera gear, John has a particular appreciation for the freedom and simplicity of smartphone photography — perfect for capturing everyday moments while travelling, sailing or out for a walk.
After retiring from his dog walking business and relocating to Battle in East Sussex, John now focuses on helping others get the most from their phones, sharing practical tips and guidance to take better photos with the camera they always have with them.
